Rutgers University–Camden VMPA

Internship Project
2024

During my time at Rutgers University–Camden, I participated in an internship with the Visual, Media, and Performing Arts Department. In this competitive setting, I worked alongside three classmates to develop design concepts for campus events. The selected design would then be produced in collaboration with department heads and adapted into posters, brochures, booklets, or other necessary materials. I continued in this role for two semesters, gaining valuable experience in both creative development and client collaboration.

While working as an intern I was asked to create an Arts Day poster for Rutgers University VMPA. When designing this poster I wanted to create a compelling design that would grab the viewers attention and add artistic elements that reflected the visual and preforming arts programs being offered.

Arts Day

BFA Portfolio Reviews

When designing this poster I wanted to grab the viewers attention while also shining light on the new beginnings this program has to offer. Flowers blooming reminds me of growth which is why I created these abstracted flowers that form the letters ‘BFA’.

Zoom on Art

For this project, we were tasked with creating posters, Instagram posts, and website banners to advertise Zoom on Art. I chose to replicate open computer tabs to reflect the event's online format. Bright colors were used to capture attention, and a geometric pattern was incorporated to represent computer pixels.

Rutgers Concert Choir

I created a poster, postcard, and social media graphic for the Rutgers–Camden Holiday Choir Concert. I aimed to capture the holiday spirit while highlighting the feeling of home at Rutgers. Using a holiday card–inspired layout and custom illustrations of campus landmarks such as the Ben Franklin Bridge and the historic Writers House, the design connects the event to the university’s surroundings.
